About Us
Built for the people
the system left behind.
8 Dimensions of Wellness is a nonprofit coaching organization that walks alongside returning citizens, people in recovery, and foster youth — helping them move from surviving to thriving.
Our Mission
"People heal faster when they don't have to do it alone."
We create accessible, compassionate support systems that help people move from survival to stability — and from stability to thriving.

"I didn't start 8 Dimensions of Wellness because I believed people were broken. I started it because I saw how many people were carrying life alone."
What We Stand For
Our core values
No one heals alone
Every person going through a major life transition deserves a real partner — not a rotating caseworker, not a checklist. A human who shows up.
Whole-person support
Life doesn't fall apart in just one area. Real support addresses all 8 dimensions — emotional, physical, financial, social, and beyond.
Insight over willpower
We don't ask people to try harder. We help them see differently. When the insight comes, the struggle dissolves — effortlessly and permanently.
You are already whole
We don't start from brokenness. We start from the truth: every person — regardless of their history — is already whole. They just need the path forward.
How We Got Here
Our story
The Beginning
Candilyn founded 8 Dimensions of Wellness after years of watching people navigate life's hardest transitions without real support.
The Framework
Adopted the SAMHSA 8 Dimensions of Wellness as the core model — a holistic, research-backed approach to rebuilding life from the inside out.
The Method
Partnered with Dr. Amy Johnson's Little School of Big Change to train coaches in a no-willpower, insight-based coaching approach.
The Mission
Launched programs specifically for returning citizens, people in recovery, and foster youth aging out of the system.
Who We Serve
Three populations.
One relentless mission.
Prison Re-entry
Coming Home
People leaving incarceration deserve more than a bus pass. They deserve a coach who sees their future, not their record.
Recovery
Staying Clear
Recovery is not a life sentence of white-knuckling. Our coaches help people move from "recovering" to "recovered."
Foster Youth
Starting Out
Youth aging out of the foster system deserve a real partner who sticks — not another person who rotates out after 6 months.
